About eight years ago, I began to read about the ‘trans epidemic’ and since my preference is working with teens and young adults, I started to do a lot of research. A group on Facebook of other Therapists were discussing cases and I joined. Soon I was getting referrals and I have developed a practice of interesting and wonderful teens and their families.
I follow other therapists before me who have developed ways to become aware of the many reasons why teens think changing their ‘gender’ will improve their life. I have developed helpful communication.
So far, none of my clients have used hormones or surgery.

I’m grateful to now belong to a group of other therapists who are on the same journey as I.
So I continue my work as a psychologist with clients ranging from 12 to 25 as a rule.
My work is focused on helping my clients identify their pain and discomfort with gender issues and exploring reasons for their discomfort. I do also have regular conferences with the parents to keep them in the loop.
