With 25 years in mental health, including 11 years as a clinical counsellor and 18 years of meditative practice, I now offer philosophical counselling (PC) and life coaching (LC) to parents of trans-identifying children (teens or adults). PC respects your capacity for self-reflection, desire for truth, and agency as a rational being, while LC empowers you with actionable strategies for personal growth and decision-making. In PC, we explore personal, familial, and cultural understanding; in LC, we focus on practical goal-setting and confidence-building to implement changes. Neither PC nor LC is psychotherapy or a replacement for it. These services provide paths to flourishing and are not suitable for those experiencing mental illness.
I work with complex relationships, moral dilemmas, existential crises, and life-altering events. I specialise in grief, estrangement, gender-related distress, identifying and implementing loving and respectful boundaries, and supporting parents with trans-identifying children—navigating the challenges of complicated family dynamics amidst today’s polarized cultural debates. Above all, I help parents rediscover themselves after the shattering experience of grief and estrangement, rebuilding a meaningful and resilient life.
Using non-clinical dialogue, Socratic inquiry, Stoic resilience, Existentialist authenticity, Buddhist mindfulness, and a sex-realist worldview, I guide parents of trans-identifying children to navigate distress, clarify values, address family dynamics, and seek meaningful paths, even amid estrangement.
